"I Am YHWH Who Heals You"

Exodus 15:26

The LORD said, "IF you will diligently hearken to the voice of YHWH your GOD, and do what is right in His eyes, and incline your ears to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases upon you that I have put upon the Egyptians; for I am YHWH who heals you" (Exodus 15:26).

What a wonderful promise GOD has given us, to heal us and keep us healthy from all diseases. There is only ONE condition: that we listen to His voice. May we always seek Him directly, who is not only our great Physician, but our HEALER.

Our full health is so important to Him, who loves us, that He has promised it over and over again:

"It shall come to pass, IF you listen to these judgments, and keep and do them, that YHWH your God will keep with you the covenant and the mercy which He swore to your fathers. And He will love you and bless you and multiply you; He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your land, your grain and your new wine and your oil, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flock, in the land of which He swore to your fathers to give you. You shall be blessed above all peoples; there shall not be a male or female barren among you or among your livestock. And YHWH will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you” (Deut. 7:12-15).

You shall serve YHWH your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfil the number of your days” (Ex. 23:25-26).

“Bless YHWH, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy Name! Bless YHWH, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your adornment [ph. the flourishing almond-tree] with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's” (Psalm 103:1-5).

GOD promises perfect health to His children when they obey Him with a perfect heart. And we ask, "How can we receive that right now?"

Trust GOD

a. Look up to GOD. Is anything too difficult for YHWH? (Gen. 18:14; Jer. 32:27,17; Luke 1:37). GOD is GOD; the Almighty Creator of the heavens and the earth (Gen. 1:1; 14:19. Is. 40:28). He created you. Did you help Him in doing that? (Job 38:1‑7; Psa. 139). Do you think He cannot mend a broken member?

"And GOD saw everything that He had made, and behold it was very good" (Genesis 1:31). But there was NO sin. If we do away with sin, GOD restores perfect health and happiness. Sin is lawlessness (1 John 3:4). Sin is rebellion against GOD.

Yeshua said, "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments" (John 14:15). Loving GOD is the only way to obey GOD (Matt. 22:37‑40).

He who loves and obeys GOD, has ALL the blessings of GOD.

GOD looks upon the heart. If you keep the greatest commandment of all, you will perfectly keep all the other commandments (Deut. 6:4‑5). "Hear, Israel: YHWH our GOD YHWH is One; and you shall love YHWH your GOD with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength." Romans 13:10.

How is your prayer fellowship with GOD? (That is a thermometer.)

Mary sat down at the feet of Yeshua listening (Luke 10:42). Inspired by the Holy Spirit she anointed her Lord, the best she could do.

b. Let GOD be the First in your life? (Is. 44:6; 48:12). First in the morning? (Mark 1:35).

Do you seek GOD, or His healing?

Are you satisfied with GOD and His promise?

GOD can impossibly lie (Heb. 6:18).

I suggest that we start looking upon GOD and simply take His promise as a love‑gift and begin praising Him, thanking Him for His gift, thanking Him for Himself, giving Him our heart.

Love is health. Love heals all wounds.

Believe in the perfect sacrifice of Yeshua.

N 388 = 97 × 4  GOD has brought a "perfect sacrifice" (97) for your "justification" (4): His only Son who was slaughtered as a "lamb for our sins" (38).

Sin is the ultimate cause of all sickness and suffering. “YHWH God commanded the man, saying, "From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die (Gen. 2:16-17). Man transgressed and died, at that very moment (spiritually immediately, and physically later). In like manner every man (except One, and of course the newborn babies) has sinned and is dead in sin.

But the Last Adam, the only Son of GOD, died in our stead, forgiving our sins, that by believing in Him we may receive eternal life. If we accept Him, He restores everything — also our health. FIRST FORGIVENESS, THEN HEALING. All by His sacrifice of love.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Mashiach Yeshua our Lord” (Rom. 6:23).

"He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way; and YHWH has laid upon Him the iniquity of us all," Isaiah 53:5‑6. What an infinite Gift! Let us begin to thank GOD, no matter how we feel.

"If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness," 1 John 1:7‑2:2.

In the same way as you receive forgiveness, you receive healing: by faith in the Word of GOD. Yeshua "Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes you have been healed," 1 Peter 2:24‑25.

Pilate took Yeshua and scourged Him with the Roman scourge, having a short shaft and long leather thongs with jagged pieces of bone or metal at their ends. With this cruel scourge he flayed the skin of the back of our LORD, although he declared Him to be innocent!! (John 19:1; Matt. 27:26).

Thus it was fulfilled what David prophesied, "The ploughers ploughed upon My back; they made long their furrows," Psalm 129:3. How terribly Yeshua has suffered to provide healing for us. What a disdain and sorrow to the heart of GOD if we turn elsewhere seeking healing. (GOD can use physicians, but you come to GOD FIRST. Thank Him for healing by the stripes of His beloved Son. Do as HE directs you.)

"Asa in the thirty‑ninth year of his reign became diseased in his feet, until his disease was extremely great; yet in his disease he did not seek YHWH, but the physicians" (2 Chronicles 16:12). GOD was waiting for King Asa, ready to heal him, but he turned elsewhere for healing, and so he died sick.

The finished work of our Lord Yeshua includes healing as well as forgiveness of our sins. First we must receive forgiveness, the heart must be cured; then GOD cures our body by the holy Blood of Yeshua. How HE has suffered, to give us such a great gift! Therefore, come directly to Him, repent of your sins confessing them, and GOD forgives in answer to His Son's prayer on the Cross, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do" (Luke 23:34).

Yeshua Mashiach healed all the sick and infirm who were brought to Him (Matt. 8:16‑17).

GOD can test our faith a little while, as HE did with Job, but HE can NEVER disappoint our faith. GOD healed Job in the moment when he forgave and prayed for his friends, who had wrongly accused and criticized him (Job 42:10). GOD first healed Job's heart from secret self-righteousness, and then GOD healed his body. How beautiful is the attitude of faith in Job in the beginning of his severe tribulation (Job 1:20‑22 and 2:10). He passed the first test with excellence, and the second test with excellence, but failed in the third test. And what scum and dross was purged out of his heart in the Refiner's fire! (Jas. 5:10‑11; Mal. 3:2‑3). Let us learn from Job how he passed the first two tests with trust and praise to GOD. GOD healed Job, but in His own hour (John 11:3‑6). Can you praise GOD for His faithfulness even in the midst of sickness? Heaven is listening. That is the lion's test (Romans 8:28). Don't throw your jewels away!

Just read Isaiah 53:5, underline it with a red pencil, and thank GOD for His precious Gift. That is faith. Rejoice in GOD!

"Does any one among you suffer evil? let him pray. Is any happy? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith shall heal the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, it shall be forgiven him. Confess therefore your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The fervent supplication of the righteous man has much power" (James 5:13‑16). Do exactly that, and GOD does exactly that. Ask the elders of the assembly to pray with you and to anoint you with oil in the Name of the Lord, and keep your eyes upon your crucified Savior, by whose stripes you are healed! Accept His free gift with praise.

You are a member of Mashiach’s new resurrection body, His assembly.

R 288 = 25 * 32  the first-fruits to GOD and His Anointed, crucified and risen with Him (cf. 28). They are His kingly priesthood.

“Juda is My scepter” N 288 Ps. 108:8; “who is this King of Glory” S 288 Ps. 24:8; “a kingdom and priests to our GOD” P 288 Rev. 5:10.

Mashiach died not only for our sins, but in our stead: One died for all, therefore all have died; and He died for all, that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf. — Therefore if anyone is in Mashiach, he is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Cor. 5:14, 15, 17).

You are a member of the new, risen body of Mashiach, and His body is pure, holy, and healthy (1 Cor. 12:27; 3:16‑17; 6:17‑20; 11:26‑32). You are a completely new creation in Mashiach, Mashiach is all in you. HE is sitting on the throne of your heart. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and NO impurity is tolerated in His holy temple.

Over those risen with Mashiach the spirit of death and sickness has no right, no power. This is fullness of LIFE.

Follow and obey you King

V 488 = 61 × 8 =  Yeshua is "Lord" (61) of His "new creation" (8). HE is your Lord. HE is King in Zion (48).

Follow Him, to whom your life belongs. Obey Him! GOD gives His Holy Spirit to those who obey Him (Acts 5:32). Yeshua Mashiach is the Author of eternal Salvation to all them who obey Him (Heb. 5:8‑9). The fruit of faith is obedience out of love to GOD, (Rom. 1:5; 16:26). That is what GOD seeks. So infinitely expensive was one disobedience against GOD in the garden of Eden. The fruit of Calvary is a changed heart.

The bride of Mashiach follows the Lamb wherever HE goes; all in her life seeks only to please Him. She is His kingship and queen and shall sit with Him in His throne and govern the nations with an iron rod. She has learned one lesson, like Mary: "Whatever HE may say to you, DO!" John 2:5.

This is the characteristic of the house of David, they obey their King. Such obedience out of love inherits all GOD'S promises.

Not only that she has healing, but she is a spring of healing. Full of compassion she cares for the needy and encourages her sisters in lifting up the cross with them, as we read: "Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; when you see the naked, that you cover him, and not hide yourself from your own flesh? Then your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of YHWH shall be your rear guard. Then you will call, and YHWH will answer; you will cry, and He will say, 'Here I am.' If you remove the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger and speaking wickedness, and if you give yourself to the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then your light will rise in darkness and your gloom will become like midday. And YHWH will continually guide you, and satisfy your desire in scorched places, and give strength to your bones; and you will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail” (Isaiah 58:6-11; Psalm 41:1-3).

That was what the Lord of the Sabbath was occupied with especially on the holy Sabbath day, glorifying His Father in the hearts of men.

But if you point fingers at others, speaking negative things about your brothers or sisters, bite back and are offended, then don’t wonder if your faithful Father in Heaven disciplines His unruly child — perhaps even through sickness. Then you come to a blessed evangelist asking him to pray for you with the laying on of hands — and nothing happens. But if you come to the elders of your assembly for anointing, they may give you some wholesome lesson instead which will bring wonderful healing if heeded.

How wonderful is the illustration of this holy Name "I Am YHWH who Heals you": the infested waters of Marah were made healthy by the tree which Moses cast into it, Ex. 15:22-25. Healing is by the Cross, not by the Blood alone. Only when we are crucified and risen with Mashiach, walking in the Light, we have true healing.
